Grand Pavilion Raffle

The Grand Pavilion raffle was drawn on 16th October 2010 in the Bandstand in front of hundreds of onlookers who had turned out to see the second of the illuminations fireworks.

The lucky winner of the Sony 37" TV was Lynn Harley from Cannock who bought her ticket on the night.

We raised a fantastic £1060.00 from the raffle which means we are now less than £500 from reaching the £5000 figure needed for Charity Status of the Matlock Bath Pavilion Group.

Well done and thank you to all who helped us achieve this marvellous figure.

"I can't believe it! I never win anything usually. We only came out to Matlock Bath to see the fireworks... I am absolutely delighted and stunned!

I will definitely be following the Pavilion story from now on - Thank You so much."

We had a fantastic party!

The Matlock Bath Pavilion Group had a second successful party. Thanks to all those who came to celebrate with us at the Temple Hotel on Saturday 25th September 2010 - Thanks to Mel and Chris from The Temple for providing the lovely food.

Sincere thanks also to local band
Left Hand Drive who came and entertained us on the evening.

The theme was “Back to Skool” and Gregor acted as Headmaster. Jackie (Miss Sellers) organised a Maths Homework, which was extremely tough!

Congratulations to the
Temple Walk team who won with 27 marks! Conkers and a Graffiti wall were also provided.

The event provided another financial success for the group.

Open Day Update

Well now the open days have been and gone we are delighted to report that we welcomed almost 300 people through our doors during the weekend; this exceeded all our expectations and we have even made the BBC News website.

Our artist impressions and plans for the future of the building were well received and members of our committee tirelessly chatted to interested visitors answering all their questions with enthusiasm.

If you were one of the people who came along, we would love to find out what you thought of our efforts - please
get in touch and let us know.

If you weren't able to get to see our exhibition then you can still view our film below (courtesy of Nick Whitehead Treasurer, MBPG) or
